Purchased locally, 1978. "Star Lake. Lumber operations began here in 1894 on the northeast shore of the lake. During railroad construction a worker, Harry Star, was accidently killed and the town and lake were named in his honor." Contains an aerial photo of town site and photo of Star Lake plantation.
