Lawrence Ellerman 8/17/99

Star Lake almost 500 pop. About 1900 sheep & cattle grazed the point 1913 plantation planted his father was a "setter" (?) in the mill- [Mary's writing of the quoted word is not clear] Salsich & Williams lumber co built Waldheim as hotel for "big men" in lumber camp.

One time their cows from town got away in around Lake Laura--when they returned when [sic] fir swun ub STAR LAKE- He had a CAT who was gone for 4yrs Charlie Anderson-"shacker" on L. Laura.
