Full text of original as contained in Early Times: "The Passenger now only runs as far as this place and will continue to do so for the rest of the winter. A freight train now carries passengers from Minocqua north. The running time has not been changed." Scrobell's comments note that north includes Star Lake, and notes that the frieght was run by Charles B. Carman. His wife, Ivy, taught in Minocqua and later was postmaster.
