Owing to the unconnection of the mail between here and Star Lake, we are again a week behind with the communication from there. [This sentence was presumably added by the editor in Minocqua.]
Dr. C.E. Spring of Merrill, made this place a professional visit this week.
H.E. Salsick's [sic] daughter Helen and sons Roy and Neal are rusticating here for a few week's [sic].
Our school board are receiving bids for a new school house to be erected in the near future.
Rev. Evans of Minocqua, paid us a visit this week and held religious services in one of our unoccupied house [sic].
