Harry Stares, foreman on the company pile driver at Star Lake was instantly killed last Thursday. It seems that he was up at the top of the pile driver putting a 2x4 through to hold the hammer, when the team started and the hammer struck the end of the stick which flew up and struck him under the chin, killing him instantly.
