ATV Use on the NHAL State Forest
In 2007 a "stakeholder group" was assembled by the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest to propose a possible ATV route within the Forest. The route which was proposed would end near Star Lake. The proposal generated considerable opposition from both year-round and seasonal residents. Among the documents listed below are a number compiled by Northwoods Citizens for Responsible Stewardship in opposition to the proposed trail. Their website is listed in the "Links" below.
