Star Lake Dam
Visitors and residents alike are puzzled by the idea of a Star Lake dam. However, at the outlet to Plum Lake is concrete berm that the DNR considers to be a dam. There is an extensive file at the DNR Headquarters in Madison on the Star Lake Dam, including photographs. If you visit the site, you will be hard pressed to find a dam, but it is there--on the lake side of the bridge over the creek.
