Star Lake/Little Star Lake Lakes Assn, Inc.
The Association was formed in 2007, and incorporated that year. Its first meeting was held on August 20, 2007, in the Dining Room of North Star Lodge. About 23 people were present and it was reported that 43 families were represented in the membership. Vern Oie was elected the first President. Committees to work on the following projects were established: (1) Monitoring of Boat Landing regarding invasive species; (2) Rusty Crayfish in the lake; (3) Control of Beavers in the area. The Association voted to oppose the establishment of any ATV trails in the Northern Highland State Forest. Its regular Annual Meetings will be the first Monday following the Fourth of July, beginning in 2008.
