Star Lake Tavern
Only the Star Lake Store and North Star Lodge have longer and more consistent histories as businesses in Star Lake. The tavern was built and first operated by John Stazak in the 1940's [?] It has operated continuously since, and has been a gathering place, the place to eat, and local watering hole through the years. Now named Stillwaters, it has on the wall (2009) pictures of all of the previous owners:
