LEINENKUGEL BEER

Leinenkugel Brewing Company of Chippewa Falls is the 7th oldest brewing company still operating in the United States, have begun in 1867. It survived during prohibition by selling soft drinks, in particular the brand, Mt. Cabin. The brewery's story, with emphasis on its soft drink operations during prohibition (with multiple illustrations of its advertising) is told in "An American Success Story in Perseverance, How Leinenkugel Brewing Company Survived Prohibition (1919-1933). It merged with MillersCoors in 1988.
