Ballard Lake
Ballard Lake is a drainage lake with predominantly sand and gravel substrate and a moderate density walleye population. It has a surface area of 505 acres, 5.5 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 25 feet. (From DNR Ballard Lake Fisheries Information Sheet, 2011). Information from the DNR Website: Bottom 60% sand, 20% gravel, 5% rock, 15% muck. Hydrologic Lake Type: DRAINAGE. Latitude, Longitude: 46.06081870, -89.49849780. Trophic Status: Eutrophic.
There is one boat landing on the lake, shared with Lake Irving. Access is from the Camp Two Road where is crosses the Ballard-Irving Thoroughfare. From that point a boat may travel either to Ballard or Irving Lake.
