"The Pioneers" is an arbitrary name for this heading. These are families that were part of the original village of Star Lake, i.e. they arrived and worked during the days of the Star Lake sawmill. AND, they continued on as residents until the post-World War II era, i.e. the time that I first came to Star Lake; and I met and knew at least some members of these families.
