Religious Services in Star Lake

I am not aware that there was ever a church in Star Lake. However, the Minocqua Times has several references to Rev. D. C. Savage preaching in Star Lake. [Link]

There are references to services held by various traveling/visiting ministers. E.g. "Rev. Evans of Minocqua was a Star Lake visitor this week and held an outdoor service." Minocqua Times, June 12, 1895 Evans preached again in July, using one of the town's unoccupied houses. Times

Also of interest is a note in the 1907 Annual Report of the Presbyterian Board of Publication and Sabbath-School Work listed in its contributions for May, 1906: "Star Lake Sabbath-school, Wisconsin, $2.47;" [Link]
